Why I Created THE 6
The Vision That Wouldn't Let Me Go
In March 2025, I walked through the exhibit hall at South by Southwest in Austin. The energy, the innovation, the ecosystem of support for entrepreneurs—it hit me like a vision:
"You need to do this. You need to create this space for speakers. The speaking industry doesn't have an expo. It doesn't have a trade show. It doesn't have THIS."
My first reaction? "Lord, I ain't got time for that."
But I couldn't shake it. Because my mission—to amplify, affirm, and elevate the voices of accomplished women experts so our value is never erased—demanded more ...
I realized the problem isn't just systemic. It's internal.
We're Complicit in Our Own Erasure
Yes, there's a systemic issue with women experts being undervalued, underpaid, and exploited.
But here's what I've learned after working with hundreds of accomplished professional women:
We're complicit in the system.
We leave corporate where we ran teams, managed budgets, made strategic decisions, and commanded respect—and we come into entrepreneurship forgetting who the fuck we are.
We left corporate for freedom. Instead, we're giving away our expertise for free.
We allow others to tell us:
- We're not valuable
- We should wait
- We need to earn our place
- We need to pay our dues

The Inside Job
Initially, I wanted to disrupt the industry. I wanted to change how the system operates.
But as I developed THE 6, the truth became clear:
